Jane Scott, Founder and CEO
Jane Scott has been active in the communication industry for the past 26 years, working closely with local and global clients and a wide range of professional communicators. As CEO, Jane has grown BrightLeaf Group from a one-woman, home-based business to a substantial, multi-talented company serving clients throughout the U.S., Europe, Canada, and Asia. She oversees a diverse team of professionals and leads the company toward its BHAG. She is also a speaker, leader, and active member involved in a variety of professional organizations that focus on communications and entrepreneurship. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Texas and graduated from the three-year Birthing of Giants program at MIT.
Joanne Saathoff, Program Manager
Joanne Saathoff oversees BrightLeaf Group's diverse documentation and web development project teams and leads BrightLeaf Group in its efforts to continuously enhance its services. Joanne is a key contributor to BrightLeaf Group and a valuable resource to its clients, leveraging 17 years of experience in project and team management for enterprise software companies. In her management roles, she focused on user-centered information design and initiated customer focus groups to validate documentation strategy, as well as spearheading efforts to improve processes and enhance employee development. Joanne earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of St. Catherine and a Master of Arts from Purdue University.
Karen Johnson, Program Manager
Karen Johnson manages documentation, design, and localization project teams, supporting BrightLeaf Group in delivering quality client service on schedule and under budget. Karen brings 20 years of experience in writing, editing and documentation project and team management. Before joining BrightLeaf Group, she managed enterprise software documentation projects at HP and hardware and software documentation teams at Dell. Also at Dell, Karen managed the $5 million, global customer-documentation localization program. She earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
Marco Aldrete, Accountant
Marco Aldrete manages all accounting and finance activities for BrightLeaf Group. Marco brings over 19 years of accounting experience to our team, including a financial management background in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Marco’s diversified background, from public accounting to the software industry, has made him an invaluable addition to our team. Marco earned his Bachelor of Accounting degree at the University of Texas, Austin and is currently working towards his CPA certification.
